Choosing the best items from the equally oversized menu may prove difficult. Six little “cupcakes” of deep-fried soft tofu stuffed with a mélange of spicy ground chicken and a sweet and sour sauce deliver a nice kick, as does the Japanese eggplant with savory fish paste. If you’re still not sure what the fuss is about with congee, J. Zhou’s, packed with tender shrimp and flaky fish, will make you a convert.
