Reykjavik-born chef Arnór Ingi Bjarkason left the pastoral splendour of Red Brick in 2025 to open his own restaurant in the city, coincidentally a few doors down from the Consulate of Iceland. He took over what was formerly a pizza parlour and the pizza oven still sits centre-stage, used by the very personable Arnór for several of his dishes. There is an à la carte but, for the full experience, go for the seven or 13 course tasting menu. The name Skóg was chosen as it's Icelandic for ‘forest’ and nature provides much of the culinary influence, with the ingredients also being largely organic.
