The history of this charming country manor, overlooking the Idrijca valley, stretches back to the fourteenth century. Today Kendov Dvorec welcomes guests in warm and elegant surroundings, between refined dining rooms and a pleasant summer terrace. The kitchen draws inspiration from the tradition of Idrija, reinterpreted with contemporary sensitivity: old recipes and local ingredients give rise to dishes that reflect the character of the territory. Two tasting menus are offered, of fish or meat, with the latter particularly recommended, especially for specialities such as bati and bakalca (steamed bread dumplings and lamb goulash). The wine list is entirely Slovenian and available by the glass: seek out the excellent Štemberger Malvazija. Comfortable rooms complete the picture.
