Over 20 years ago, the Huazhou-born owner opened this neighbourhood joint to serve authentic dishes from his hometown – and it is now in its third generation. The menu focuses on simply poached meats, including the must-try chicken. The pullets boast silky flesh, while the capons are prized for their intense flavour; both are best enjoyed dipped in the spiced chive and sand ginger oil. Complete the meal with the soft, chewy rice noodle rolls.
