This restaurant is a more refined take on its older sibling, Henriqueta, located in Leblon. In this charming restaurant near the Jardim Botânico, chef Antônio Minguins offers a menu brimming with traditional Portuguese dishes, with a particular focus on Azorean cooking. As one might expect, salt cod takes pride of place on the menu, appearing in a variety of interpretations: with coriander oil and a farofa — a toasted cassava crumb — of dehydrated olives, the traditional Gomes de Sá, with cream, à Transmontana... For meat lovers, there is no shortage of alternatives either, such as the Alcatra de carne — a traditional Azorean dish of beef slow-cooked for six hours in a clay pot — or the Chanfana de cabrito à moda do pato, a slow-braised kid goat prepared in the style of duck. The space, beyond its elegant interior featuring a beautiful glass-enclosed wine cellar, also has tables in the outdoor area, perfect for al fresco dining!
