‘Godaille’ in French slang means a feast and merrymaking among friends. This eatery run by a group of mates gives pride of place to spices and fresh herbs, such as fried chicken with tender meat in crispy golden breadcrumbs, flanked by a ginger-lemon sauce. The set lunchtime menu changes weekly and the evening repertory is more ambitious: mussels in a coconut-green curry and Thai herb sauce, or confit veal belly. Attractive, slightly retro interior and a fine list of natural and organic wines.
