In one of the most scholarly streets of the intellectual St André des Arts neighbourhood, Oktobre is warm and welcoming like an Indian summer. The chef's larder is stocked with premium, painstakingly sourced produce. His enthusiastic, creative approach to cooking involves varied spices and multiple Asian accents. Examples: linguine of cuttlefish, tomato and peanut pesto; line-fished pollock from St Gilles Croix de Vie, cranberry beans, miso-spiked beurre blanc and rhubarb; shoulder of pork, sweetcorn curry and fig seasoning; caramelised apple, almond praliné, herby cider sorbet and buckwheat. Buzzy, friendly vibe.
