Certainly one of the more distinctive members of the London dining scene, Stem + Stem is both a restaurant and a flower shop, which is what happens when the couple who own it are a chef and a florist. The cooking is all about showing off the freshest produce in bright, colourful dishes, whether that be in-season game or succulent roasted Cornish cod with ‘sea spaghetti’, king prawns, sweetcorn and chilli oil. As you would expect, there are flowers on the tables, and some edible ones on the plate too.
