Sek Yuen has been a neighbourhood favourite since it opened in 1948. It now occupies three adjacent shops, the middle one of which boasts the most vintage charm. The majority of the warm, hospitable servers has worked here for eons. On the menu, comforting Cantonese fare takes centre stage: pipa duck with spot-on seasoning, firm flesh and crispy skin is a must. Roast suckling pig must be ordered two days ahead.
