Good simple food is the ethos of this vintage-inspired bolthole with tightly packed tables and guitar riffs playing over the sound system. Geert Weyn rolls out a six-course menu, to which you can even add further dishes should you so desire. He hits the nail on the head with intuitive personal inventions crafted with just a few ingredients. He has a knack for enhancing the gutsy essence of black pudding to properly underscore its powerful flavours, courtesy of various recipes (poached, grilled and in a cake) or by pairing it with a spicy yoghurt, gin-marinated radish, or sautéed spring onions. Refreshingly hearty, wholesome food oozing with flavour is the hallmark of Schnitzel.
