The atmospheric decor, the bustle of the open kitchen at the back and the congenial service team immediately put you in the right mood. The chef demonstrates a deft hand with traditional fare, from house-made pasta with a bold lamb ragù to a fresh take on tiramisu bursting with those familiar rich flavours. A few surprises, like Dutch cheese or katsuobushi, give things a modern and international twist. Chef Roberto Borelli definitely puts his own stamp on Italian cooking.
